Hi, my name is Lou
A Cotswolds-based food photographer, recipe developer and content creator, covering the UK and beyond, with over a decade of experience in crafting irresistible food narratives.
My mission? To add a touch of sweetness to life by transforming culinary creations into captivating stories, that not only tantalise taste buds but are rich in colour and texture. Let’s embark on a journey where each image invites your audience to savour the sights and flavours!

About Lou
Lou Carruthers is a Leadership & Culture Consultant, award-winning baker and passionate foodie on a mission to make life a little bit sweeter.
Lou began Crumbs and Corkscrews in 2012 following the closure of her artisan bakery, as a way to continue to share her deliciously easy dessert recipes, and with a goal to simply inspire everyone to make life a little sweeter in and out of the kitchen.
Lou lives in the Cotswolds, UK with her equally food-obsessed husband, and is aunty to two sweet-toothed nephews . When she’s not in the kitchen developing recipes and photographing food, she’s exploring the countryside around her, always accompanied by a slice of cake!
Disclosure for readers
